Hi, have a special situation which am trying to solve with help of Structure addon we do have. Have two Jira projects and no link type between them, that is requirement, that there won´t be any kind of links. There is however "linking element" and that is Assets. There are CFs in both projects that allows you to list the same object types - so objects in Jira Assets. I need to show on Structure board issues from both project that are interconnected via such objects (like Release, Version, Service, Service Item and similar)
Any idea how to do it, please? So far am able to show attributes of objects on separate issues via formula columns, what is great, but not sufficient for us.
Thank you
Hi @Klára Zikešová Welcome to the Atlassian Community
The problem you're probably facing is that the two projects do not share the same custom field IDs. Can you provide the filter you're currently using for the one project so this community can more easily see what problem you're facing?
Kind regards,
Dick
Hi @Dick ,
thanks for your hint. You are right, there are different CF using the same object types in both projects, so ID is definitelly different too. I did not try to set it on the basis of CF anyway, as I cannot use any particular value of the field, but state something like if this value used in both projects, show the issues where is it used no matter what value in that field. That could not be done even if the CF have the same ID, or could it be done? Maybe something like value of CF1 = value of CF2, does exist something like that? Best regards, Klara

I'm sad to inform you that automation support for the iteration of lists in Jira Datacenter (my version too) hasn't been implemented yet (though basic (single) iteration using smart value lists is available). You would need several intertwined iterations, where you seek the value of the one CF and match that with the other (like you said), but in addition, you need to find (and maybe expand into ) a general list of issues that have each of the CF values. And that would only be the part of the endeavor. Presenting these lists in orderly fashion would be another.
Kind regards,
Dick
