JIRA not parsing inbound emails when JIRA email address is BCC'd

Kevin O'Brien ADMIN July 12, 2011

We have several different projects all with thier own email addresses. We have found that we cannot BCC the email addresses to get the issue into the JIRA project (inbound). Is this normal or am I missing a configuration setting somewhere or something?

The "catchemail" setting indicates "If set, only emails to the specified recipient (To:, Cc: ) are processed." So that tells me that there is no way to BCC the JIRA email address, correct?

Thanks,

Kevin

Pretty much, last time I looked its a limitation of the handler. To do more advanced things, have a look at JEMH which not only supports cc/bcc addressee but also project auto-mapping via: projectkey@yourserver.com, and even mapping via sender email address.
