Issue with Cloning: Creating Duplicate Subtasks

Hello, when I clone a Story in Jira that our team has created as a template, the resulting Clone story has additional duplicate subtasks created. I originally thought the template must be the issue but cannot see anything that could be adjusted to fix this. Does anyone have any insight as to why these tasks are being doubly cloned? The 1st picture is the Template, and the 2nd picture shows the cloned story with duplicate tasks.  Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

Do you have an Automation Rule in place that would create the subtasks automatically if an issue of that same type was created manually rather than by cloning?

You should be able to expand the Automation panel on the right (below the Details and More Fields panels), click the Refresh button in it, and thereby reveal any Automation Rules that have recently been triggered by the issue.

Yes, on the cloned story there was automation to also insert tasks. Thanks for pointing this out
