Is there a way for xray to not delete test steps on changing test type from manual to automated

In Xray, initially the test cases were written with type as Manual and with test steps added to it. Now the test cases are automated. On converting the type to Automated, Xray deletes the manual test steps. Is there a way to keep the manual test steps while the test remains as automated
