Increase bulk change maximum number of issues issues - is it possible?

Rumceisz June 20, 2013

Hi All,

currently we can bulk change as a maximum 1000 issues per change. Many of our projects have more then 10000 issues. Is it possible to increase this maximum number?

Thanks in advance,

Rumi

Hi Jobin,

thank you.

According to the article it's not recommended to increase this number. What do you think?

Well, it is based on overall performance of the system. If you absolutely need it and if your system can handle, no issues in doing that.

I am sorry to pick on this but these answers are very much half baked. It is easy to say "increasing the number will have performance effects": What performance issues? Just increasing the 1000 to 4000 will make JIRA slower? Even when no bulk actions are performed? Would the performance hit be when a Bulk action of over 1000 is performed?
