In JIRA, what is "next review date"?

I want to let a JIRA issue automatically reopen on Monday every two weeks if it's not already open.  Is this doable?  Is it related to the "next review date" field on an issue page?

"next review date" is not a standard field, so the question is what do you want to do with this custom field?

If you add it as a custom field, you could do that with a bit of automation. I'd usually mention the Jelly escalation trick, but that's going to stop working soon, and you'll need an alternative - probably the Jira automation addon.
