Import csv Jira Cloud to Jira Data Center connect Epic-Task relationship

Hi,

I want to import the csv file with the project issues I received from Jira cloud to Jira Data Center.

However, although Task and Subtasks provide a connection via parent and issue Id, Epic and tasks cannot provide this connection.

Even if I write Epic's issue Id to Task's parent as in the documentation, it does not happen.

What do you think the solution to this can be?

Hello @Berat Altunhan

I work for Exalate.

When importing issues via CSV from Jira Cloud to Jira Data Center, ensure that the Epic link field is correctly mapped. The connection between Epics and tasks can be tricky, especially if the field configurations between Cloud and Data Center differ.

If manual mapping proves difficult, tools like Exalate can help with syncing issue links (including Epics) between Jira Cloud and Jira Data Center more reliably, ensuring proper connections between tasks and epics during the migration.

Thank you.

Kind regards,

Tasks (and other Story-level or "standard issue types") use the "Epic Link" field in Jira Data Center to tie to an Epic.
