If I connect My Google Drive to Jira and do a SmartLink, can the public see my drive information?

Please give (or point me to) a detailed explanation of how the security features work with SmartLink, Google Drive, and OAuth Protocol.

My primary concern is I will sync my google drive account to Jira and then all our drive files will be exposed to people we don't want to have access to them.

Also curious on my git-redd project. Is that information for all to see?  A run down of user permissions and how those work with Jira would be helpful.

Thank you,

Aharon

Hi @Aharon W Smith

As far as I've read this shouldn't be a problem, but I'd recommend checking out some of this information to confirm and make sure all your requirements are met:

https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/what-data-is-sent-and-received-when-pasting-a-smart-link/

"Our system retrieves the data in real-time using your authentication token. This means you’ll only see details about the Google Drive file if you have permission to do so."

Also:

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/integrate-your-google-account-with-atlassian/

This isn't something I've done personally so I can't give you the 100% all clear, but hopefully those links above have the info you need.
