I need to clone the subtasks and tasks from a history or children of epics.

I currently have an automation to clone an epic's children when an epic is cloned and link them to that epic, and it's working perfectly so far, but I need it to also bring in the tasks that exist in those children of the previously cloned epic and link them to the correct child. Does anyone know how to complement this automation?

Hey everyone, I did it this way and it worked for me. I didn't need to use a cloning app, the cloning was done entirely through automation. If anyone wants to try doing the same, feel free to reach out and I'll help in any way I can.

Hi @Derick and welcome to the community!

If you're looking to clone not just the epic's children but also the subtasks within those children and link them correctly, Our app Deep Clone for Jira could be a perfect solution for you. Deep Clone allows you to clone issues along with their subtasks, and you can also set it to link them appropriately to the original tasks or children in the epic.

You can configure the cloning process to fit your needs exactly, ensuring that everything is linked as required.

I thought something like this could work, but it still doesn't. The project is in 1 epic with 5 children, and each of these children has at least 10 subtasks. I need these subtasks within each child to be cloned as well and linked correctly.
