I keep getting "You don't have access to this issue Make sure the issue."

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
So I keep getting:
You don't have access to this issue
Make sure the issue exists in this project. If it does, ask a project admin for permission to see the project's issues.
Other things to note:
1) I created it and I am the ADMIN. I also added myself as a DEVELOPER and USER.
2) I added someone else as an ADMIN and they can see the issue just fine.
3) I have the default software scheme.
4) I cannot even get the issue to show up when doing permission helper! I did get it to show up in permission helper once after some fiddling, but still cannot view the issue directly.
5) No security is currently set-up.
I did read up on questions and such but i'm at a loss. Any suggestion and help would be greatly appreciated.
