I cannot find Board in the sidebar

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: JIRA Core Labs

I like to create a board for a business project, but there is no entry in the sidebar. How can I enable it?

We are using JIRA Core Server 7.1.8.

Hi Thomas,

Boards are part of JIRA Software. The Boards menu, used to be called Agile in JIRA 6 and was a separate plugin. As of JIRA 7 though, it comes with JIRA as JIRA Softare. If your instance is only JIRA Core you will not see the boards menu and will need to upgrade to JIRA Software.
