I am unable to add a component to any issue.

 

"Components" doesn't show up in the sidebar.

Hi @Alan Cox welcome, to the Community!

Unfortunately, Team-managed projects (formerly called Next-Gen) do not have components yet. Here is the suggestion to add the feature, which you may watch and/or vote for:

For Team Managed Projects, it won't have Components feature nor you can enable it. While in Company Managed Projects you can enable it in Project Settings<Features<Components.
