Hello Dear Community,
As I was recently installed Zephyr Scale- Test Management for Jira free app, To execute some Test cases and trying to explore some thing inside the Zephyr , I want to give some demo, How it will useful for test case management for Jira,
But I encountered some problem that, when I Installed it, I could not find the Test Issue type in the drop-down list to execute the test case management, Kindly help in this regard.
Regards,
Suneel Babu.
Hi Suneel,
The Test Issue Type is no longer available in Zephyr Scale. I think it might be in Zephyr Squad, but I don't use that tool so can't be sure. Zephyr Scale now uses Jira native Issue Types.
I hope that helps answer your question. If you would like more user support, there is a dedicated Zephyr Scale community at the link below - I'm a frequent contributor.
Good luck!
To resolve the issue where you cannot find the Test Issue type after installing Zephyr Scale in Jira, follow these steps to ensure the Test Issue type is correctly configured and available:
After installing Zephyr Scale, Jira might not automatically add the "Test" issue type to your projects. You'll need to manually add it to the project's issue type scheme.
Zephyr Scale issue types will only be available in the project if your Jira instance's permission scheme allows you to create and view issues of this type.
In some cases, Jira may need to be re-indexed to reflect new issue types in the project.
Zephyr Scale may need to be properly configured after installation.
After confirming that the "Test" issue type is available, you can try to create a test case by:
By following these steps, the Test issue type should be visible in the project, allowing you to create and execute test cases using Zephyr Scale.
