How to import a project without losing Greenhopper information

Carlos Palminha July 27, 2011

We are in the process of merging two instances of Jira/Greenhopper into a single configuration. For doing this we are using JIRA importing facility to import project by project. This works fairly well, but we just discovered an issue.

At least some of the Greenhopper project data isn't actually stored in the project so its being lost as part of the project import. In particular the charts in the release board, the additional version information: parent version, start, end, and release dates. Since we are merging two different instances into a single instance using the backup in its entirety isn't really an option for us. Has anyone done something similar, if so how did you over come this limitation?

Hi Carlos,

I notice there is a bug ticket raise to Atlassian. Please see JRA-21840 for reference. The problem have been solved in JIRA 5.2.x. Kindly consider to upgrade your JIRA in future.

Cheers,

That bug looks like it may only have fixed the version release date, not the GH start and end date info?
