How do you count tickets or estimates that are based on custom query?

Hi!

I am planning to create a dashboard to show how many tickets (worth in either SP or days) that we future plan for our squads.

I am assuming we will need a plugin to be able to count or add specific field elements to know this.

What do you recommend or how do you create this report metrics?

Hi @Sherwin Soriano,

You could try the Two Dimensional Filter Statistics gadget of Jira. It is able to display counts, but unfortunately it is not able to sum-up fields or do advanced splinting or calculations.

If you need more than that, our Great Gadgets can be helpful as it offers some gadgets that will help you to display such report metrics.

For example, by using the Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget you can split the data by various criteria and display counts or sum-up the fields of the issues (like Story Points).

Very helpful can be the Advanced Issue Filter Formula gadget offered by the same gadget.

Hi @Sherwin Soriano,

I am Marlene, product manager of Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards.

Your use case is maybe possible with our Jira cloud app. You can sum up any numerical value with our advanced gadgets, like the Quick Two Dimensional Filter Statistics gadget.

It also possible to filter all Quick gadgets on your dashboard dynamically with the Quick Controller gadget. So you could create a filter for every squad, and only display issues from a specific squad.

You can check out our app without installation on our demo dashboards.
