On our project, we have multiple people who are able to enter tickets into Jira. We want it so that developers can only enter tickets into a sprint in our backlog that we call "Triage" and we do not want them to be able to move tickets in and out of different sprints. How would I:
1) Ensure all new tickets go into a particular sprint?
2) Edit one of the permission schemes (for the developers) so that they can't move tickets in and out of sprints?

To achieve the scenario you want, you can try the following instructions:

You can use Jira automation to automatically set a Specific Sprint when the issue is created. These would be the steps:
2) Edit one of the permission schemes (for the developers) so that they can't move tickets in and out of sprints?
If you are ordering your issues by Rank, the "Schedule issues" permission is required to change the issue position in the backlog or the Sprint. That being said, you can properly remove this permission from users to prevent them from changing the Sprint field, but be aware that:

@Petter Gonçalves I tried your method above for #1 but it did not work for me. When creating an issue, it still requires me to manually select a sprint. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
