Group By Setup in Kanban Board

Can I have another category in "Group By" dropdown menu in the Kanban Board? The new category is a new issue type I implemented with hierarchy level #2, just above the Epic issue type that has the hierarchy level #1. The "Group By" drop down menu has the option to group by Epic or Stories, so I would expect to see the new issue type as an option as well.

Trust you are well.

Yeah, there are limited options for hierarchies in standard boards. If you are up to Marketplace Apps I would suggest to try our Advanced Kanban & Agile Boards that supports grouping by Parent (based on your hierarchy) so you can create multi level boards.

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

That feature is not currently available.

Boards do not currently have the capability to add group by options based on extending the issue type hierarchy as there could be any number of hierarchy levels.

I have not been able to find a change request in Atlassian's public backlog for this, but there may be one. You could also use the Feedback button within Jira under the Help button (near your avatar in the upper right corner) to provide that suggestion directly to Atlassian.
