Forms in Jira Software Projects - what determines what fields can be added to a form?

I am using the new Forms feature in Jira Software.  When I am creating a form for a Story, in the fields I can add to my form is a Custom Field called Story Points.  However, that field is not even on the Screen for creating, editing or viewing a Story in the Project that I am creating the form in.

I can't see what determines what fields can be added to a Form.  Does anybody know ?

I have done some further testing and if I remove a field from a Screen then it disappears from thee fields I can add to a Form - however, this custom field Story Points, which is not in any of the create, view or edit screens, still appears as an optional field for the Form. Is that just a bug ?

Hi @Rees_ Ian , reasonable question. I suspect that any system fields will always be available. Custom fields created by you behave as you observed. You can further test this theory with another system field.

Thanks Jack, I think you are right - I was thinking that Story Points was a custom field that we had created but it wasn't. I found this for definition https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/add-or-remove-fields-from-your-form/
