The JIRA space we are using has many groups and could be confusing for knowing when to assign certain groups to an issue.  Is it possible to assign certain groups to a project so that when someone tries to assign an issue to a group (through the group picker) they see only groups that would apply to this project rather than ALL groups in the JIRA space?

You'll need to find/write an addon to provide a group-picker type field that you can attach rules to.

Ok thank you.  Thats kind of what I figured, but wanted to see if maybe I missed something.  Doesn't really seem to be an existing add-on for this.
