Does anyone know if Atlassian takes regular backups of our production environments?

If something catastrophic happened in our prod environment, is Atlassian taking regular backups that can be restored if needed?

Hi @Margarita

Atlassian has backups of your instance,. but only for issues caused on their side (updates rolled out that break things or outages). But not for customer use.

https://www.atlassian.com/trust/security/security-practices#backups

There is a shared responsibility for managing customer data:

https://www.atlassian.com/trust/security/security-practices#sharing-responsibility-for-managing-customer-data

Atlassian assumes you have backups of your instance data.

More on that here:
