Does JIRA v10 supports Gantt chart

Hello Community,

We are using JIRA software for task management and we need to display some reports in Gantt chart, i just wanted to know does JIRA natively supports Gantt chart or we need to buy some plugin from market place?, also we are using EasyBI(does it support Gantt chart by any chance)?

Hi @Rajat Krishnan ,

The closest you can get to Gantt are Plans (a.k.a. Advanced Roadmaps) which do have some features of a Gantt but not all of them. In the end, it depends on what your requirements are when it comes to Gantts.

We usually tend to use BigPicture (Marketplace app), if specific requirements need to be met related to Gantts.

As for eazyBI, I haven't used it that much but maybe you could check out their official docs related to gantts to see if anything pops out.

Hi @Rajat Krishnan,

Depends a bit how strict you are in the definition of Gantt charts. If you are happy with a timeline view with a visual timeline of start and due dates and dependencies, this is part of Plans (formerly known as advanced roadmaps) in Jira Data Center. EazyBI has Gantt charts as one of its report types available, but be aware that EazyBI is a reporting tool: it comes after the facts, it doesn't let you adjust your schedule. If that is what you need, you should be perfectly fine.

If you want your schedule to adjust dynamically when you update and are looking for Gantt Chart features like critical path, baselines, milestones, ... then you'll need to look for marketplace apps that offer these additional capabilities.
