We have set up work in progress limits on our Kanban boards. I may be being silly but is there a way to make these limits visible at the top of columns. It makes sense to make these visibly to teams so they can see the limitations of the columns
Screen width has something (everything) to do with it. I have two Kanban teams, and both teams have WIP limits set for various columns. If I'm on my larger external monitor and I'm full screen with the browser, I see both a count of issues in the current column as well as the WIP limit; however, if I pop out of full screen and start shrinking the size of the browser, the WIP limits disappear fairly quickly, while the issue count remains. Here's a screen grab of the browser in full screen:
If I reduce the browser size a bit, they go away:
This is a "real estate" issue; if I take the same browser and move it to my laptop screen, even at full screen, I do not see the WIP limits being displayed.
This is on a Company-managed project.
This feels to me like something "solvable" by Atlassian with a little thought; while I get you have to make some compromises as you shrink the screen size, if you're at full screen in the browser on a smaller screen laptop (for example), I would expect the WIP limits to be displayed... even if you have to reduce slightly the font size, or perhaps make some other compromises in the positioning of the WIP limit. This is strictly a UI issue... one which my company wrestles with continuously within our own product... so I know changes can be made. However, there are practical minimum limits which force you to make compromises. You're seeing one.
Unfortunately, other than perhaps increasing the screen resolution by pressing Ctrl - minus in the browser, I know of no workaround for this issue.
Good luck!
Tested and can confirm that this is exactly the issue thank you very much as I thought I was going crazy

Hello @Jason Wade (wade)
Are you working with a board for a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project?
In both cases when I set the WIP limits in the Columns configuration for the board, the limits are displayed in the actual board view at the top of the column.
If that is not what you are experiencing can you show us a screen image of your Columns configuration page and your actual board column headers?

That was my assumption. I've attached some screen shots of a test Kanban board which is a company managed project
