Deleting a user in AD and then recreating that user

Hi

We need to delete a user in AD and re-create their account with the same username and email address, what would happen in Jira however? The user would have a different GUID but everything else the same. Would the user have a new account created for them or would they be given access to the account they already have in jira? Also would the same happen in confluence?

Hi @Dean

When a user account is removed from AD, the corresponding user account in Jira and Confluence should be deactivated.

It will be reactivated if an account with the same username is created or reactivated in AD.
