Our team is planning to set data residency region to Canada. What are possible impacts or post-migration issues we should keep an eye for?
I have checked the data residency documentation and it only says to expect a downtime for a 2-24 hour period. Is there any other information on impact to current projects outside of our tenant/instance being unavailable?
@Raphael Bonafe welcome to the Atlassian community
There should not be any impact to your instance other than the location of it. After the move there might be some latency for individuals further away (Across the world). Most likely that would stay the same since your data was most likely hosted in north America.
Thank you @Brant Schroeder
This will give me and my stakeholders some more confidence in pushing with the move.

Hi @Raphael Bonafe,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
The only other thing that you should be aware of besides the outage is that not all apps will be able to use the same residency. Depending on the app the vendor may store the data at a different location.
