Hello,

I've got a project were there are multiple boards and multiple backlogs. I'm using the

https://your-domain.atlassian.net/rest/api/3/issue to create the issue. The problem is I want the issue to go to particular backlog. The result I'm getting is that it goes to Issues.  Thank you for your help.

Hi,

A board is a representation of a filter, so if you want to have a newly created issue to appear on the board you need to make sure that it match the filter.

The issue will get moved if it get's automatically assigned to a particular person, or when you use a put the sprint label in. However, that's not really the desired action. These filters are setup by default by the company and I don't have admin access to the board to add/change filters. Would be possible to use the api to add it directly using the board id or some other way?

Is it possible to add the sprint as a label? I was trying this and it says the "sprint" value cannot be set.
