Hello All,
I have a doubt about the statuses. There are 3 kind of status TO DO, PROGRESS and DONE. No matter how many cards we create we have to map them to one of these status. So suppose I create a card named COMPLETE and map it to DONE and also there is another card named DONE which is as usually mapped to DONE.
Now suppose, when I move the issues on sprint(s) if I move it to COMPLETE and then choose to close sprint it shows issue is not completed. But, when I move it to DONE card and then choose to close the sprint it gets closed.
Why does this happen? When COMPLETE card is also mapped to done status?
Hi @[deleted]
You are describing the "Status Category" values: To Do, In Progress, and Done. A defined Status in a workflow may be assigned to one of these categories.
Next a Jira board has one-or-more Status values mapped to each board column.
Finally, for Jira Scrum boards, issues must be the far-right column of the board to be considered "complete" for the Sprint. The status category does not matter for Sprint completion detection.
Kind regards,
Bill
Hello @[deleted]
If you move the COMPLETE status under DONE column which also represents the status, it will be closed.
The green bar represents the column that has the DONE status category. This category can have multiple DONE statuses (including the status named DONE).

I meant that last last 2 columns on the right side are COMPLETE AND DONE. These 2 cards are having status of DONE. So can I not complete the sprint successfully just by moving it to COMPLETE card? Both the status are in green only. Should I actually move it to right most column? In order to successfully complete the sprint?

All of the statuses that are in Done status category are in the far right column. So yes, you should do this.
