Using Jira Data Center v9.4.15
with Checklist for Jira Enterprise v7.1.1
I have two jira issues that are behaving the same way. Both are Task issue type from the same company managed project(ABC) They each contain a checklist with ~10-15 items.
Two weeks ago (Nov 4th) we experienced an incident where a Jira administrator intended to add a new issue type and workflow to project ABC and did so incorrectly. This resulted in 500 tasks in project ABC being mapped to a new workflow with different states. The two tasks in question were part of the affected bunch. To resolve the incident, we mapped them back to the correct workflow and states.
Fast forward to yesterday, the assignee of the two tasks says there are a few checklist entries missing ~4-5 on one and ~10-12 on the other. I have scoured the audit log on the issue and the application and have not found any evidence that the two situations are related, but I see no other potential reason for this.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. These tasks belong to a relatively new Jira user and she is now wary of using the product.
Hi Jennifer,
I am a developer for Checklist for Jira and I will try to help you understand your situation.
Our field is used by many users and we are not aware of an issue that could cause such data loss.
In Jira, field updates may generate an history log or not depending on the tool used.
Kind regards,
Maxime
@Maxime Lefebvre _Okapya_ thank you for the reply. Best I can tell, we did not have any workflow post functions or automations that ran during the workflow move.
