We have Float for resource scheduling and Jira for issue management.

Workers can log work in Jira or in Float. We would like to standardise to logging work in Float, but we need the reporting out of Jira.

Can work logged and the notes associate from Float be populated to the WorkLog in Jira?

Doesn't do it by default and I tried Zapier with no luck.

Anyone doing something similar would be appreciated.

I am not familiar with Float, but if you can do some scripting/coding in Float, then the easiest thing to do would be some code that does "when work is logged in Float, poke it into Jira over the Jira REST API"

I don't know what you've tried with Zapier, but it's likely to be that sort of coding.  I think I'd be looking at something similar, but I don't know what went wrong with your Zapier (and if that's what you're most familiar with as an interface tool, I'd stick with it).
