Can we restrict users/roles to create boards and dashboards in jira

Can we create new permissions for  creating boards(to restrict board and dashboard creation)

Hi,

There is no separate permissions for board / dashboard creation. What can be restricted of course is the content, but not the creation of boards / dashboards themselves.

Hi @khushboo_puri 

I am not sure what problem you are trying to solve and the circumstances. But hope the below info helps understanding what is currently possible.

Currently all licensed user can create a private board or dashboard. To share it and make it visible to other users, they would need a global permission (not project level control) - "Share dashboards and filters"
