I've been using a Software project for years now with GitHub linked fine. However, I migrated to a Business board for a better layout, but now I can't link GitHub branches to the tickets. I've changed the keys to match, but still no luck. I've done the backfill tool several times as well.
Hello @Keith Petrillo
What exactly is happening when you try to link branches to tickets?
Are you using a third party app for integrating Jira and Github? If so, which one?
I'm using the Atlassian GitHub for Jira app, however, I now believe it's only for software projects. I haven't found a Business project app that can do the same thing.

The app does say on the Marketplace listing that it is supported for Jira Software.
I would not necessarily expect to find an code repository integration app that supports Jira Work Management. The expected audience and design use case for Jira Work Management is for non-development teams.
The documentation about enabling and integrating with development tools is within the Jira Software documentation.

This document that explores the features of the Jira products does not say explicitly that development tools can't be integrated with JWM, but does only mention them in the context of JSW.
