My use case is to create a project workflow with JIRA to add tasks and assign it to my team members based on a project. Then i would like to see the status of each project and the progress with percentages. Please guide me if i can get some easy tips to configure JIRA for this scenario.

@pvadapally ,

Welcome to the community. A good place to start would be taking few self paced training.

Hi @pvadapally

Welcome to the community!

Here’s a quick setup guide for managing tasks and tracking project progress in JIRA:

  1. Create Project: Go to Projects > Create Project and select Kanban or Scrum. Set up Issue Types for tasks, bugs, etc.
  2. Configure Workflow: Customize statuses (To Do, In Progress, Done) under Workflows. Map these to Issue Types.
  3. Add Tasks: Use Create to add tasks, assign them, or bulk import with CSV.
  4. Track Progress: Use Boards to update status, and set up Dashboards for tracking with gadgets like Pie Chart or Issue Statistics.
  5. Automate: Use Automation for automatic updates and integrate with tools like Slack.

For detailed instructions, check out JIRA Project Setup Guide on the official documentation.
