We have Jira software Datacenter where users were linking one story to multiple project issues, to restrict that we have no option.
So we developed a workaround, where we created a single issue picker (script runner) custom field and added it to the create screen of the story. Users picks a project issue in that field while creating and it is visible on story but now in this approach we cannot see that story reflecting on the selected project issues.
What could we do in order to achieve this? Because in linking feature it use reflect on project as linked issue and same project use to be visible on story as linked issue, our workaround lacks this feature.
Our workaround using a single-issue picker field is functional but lacks the mutual visibility provided by native issue linking. To achieve this bidirectional sync functionality while maintaining our restriction (one story linked to one project issue) we need a solution.
