Hello,
I am trying to set up a validator for a transition in my issue workflow that requires an attachment to be uploaded. I have added the "Field Required Validator" for this purpose, but I still receive an error message after attaching a file to the ticket.
Can you please advise on how to resolve this issue?
Thank you.
Amit
Hi @amit.bakst ,
Try adding the "attachment" field to the transition screen, As the validator is added for the transition So when you try to do the transition you are required to upload a attachment to complete the transition.
Thanks.
When I added it to the transition screen, it started working.
However, without the screen, it was not working even though I was adding it before transitioning the status.
Do you know why?
Thanks,
Amit

We are adding the validator to the transition, So in order to move it from one status to another,All the validators needs to be met inorder to complete the transition. As you have added the field required validator and if the field is not present on the transition screen it will be not able to check if the field has value or not, This was the problem in your case.
Thanks.

Hi @GNarsimhagowda - Empyra @amit.bakst
I'm currently having the same problem, could you please tell me how to add the "attachment" field to the transition screen?
I'm new to JSM and I'm learning how to manage it.
Thank you very much!

Hi @amit.bakst
May be you have taken custom field "Attachment" in the field required validator.
you need to select Field required validator(JMWE) and then search the attachment then you can add then it will work.
