I'm using Jira as a project management tool for my Marketing team, and we are trying to streamline the process of taking in requests. What I want is to "force" the requestor to fill out a form with information BEFORE they create an issue/ticket. Is there a rule I can build for that? Or is there any way that's possible?
@Lizzie Oldacre Have you looked at Jira Service Management? You can have individuals submit requests through the customer portal and require that they complete a form at submission. https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/service-management
What Jira product are you currently using?
Jira Software, Work Management or Service Management, since each of these tools have a different intake process.
JS and JWM use Mandatory fields in the create issues screen, and for JSM as @Brant Schroeder mentioned the customer portal can be configured to set mandatory fields via forms or portal requests.
