Assign individual Issue Keys

We are migrating from Jira Cloud to Jira Datacenter.

While it was possible to keep the project key (here TPP) we failed to keep the issues Keys due to deleted issues in the source project key and integer assignment of issue keys on the target system.

Which results in TPP-912 is now TPP-546.

Is there any chance to assign individual issue keys when migrating issue from one instance to another?

Thank you in advance!

Hi @Paul Praßer

No you can't achieve this, if using the migration tool.

The only option you could have taken is to export all from DC and import it via CSV in Cloud, this is a very time consuming and error bound solution

That's one of the best practices to not remove issues, but resolve them with a resolution like declined or cancelled.

You might are able to reach out to Atlassian, if they might have a solution for you.
