Application Links Link Rendering plugin archived?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: How to Create a FishEye's Changeset or Crucible's Review Link on JIRA's Comment or Description

Why does current product documentation refer to an archived plugin? Is there an actively maintained alternative to achieve what is described in this documentation, or is the expectation that we continue to use the archived plugin?

That page doesn't exist in current documentation. That documentation is for JIRA 6.3.

The plugin hasn't been developed or supported by Atlassian in quite some time though, but they maintain the still functional articles.

Is there an equivalent functionality built in or via another plugin in JIRA 7.1?

I'll look around but no promises. smile
