We have Jira Data Center 9.12 and have serveral Projects  I need to bring toghether:

1. Portfolio Level Project with Epic and Feature

2. Two Program Level Projects with Features and Strories, Subtasks

3. My Onw Project with Feature, Story, Subtask

With the Jira Admin I configured the hirarchie From Epic (Initative) to Feature and so on...

But in the Plan I can not bring the project toghether. For Example. In one Of my Features I assigend in Jira the Parent initative but it is not displayed and selectable in the plan

Hi Julia, and welcome to the Atlassian Community.

Much of the success of Plans/Roadmaps in Jira has to do with the Plan Configuration. Access this with the "Configure" options under the gear icon next to the Plan name (on the left as you view the plan).

There, ensure some basic necessary configuration, such as:

  • Issue sources:  confirm that this section includes Filters, Boards or Projects for all the issues you want to see on your Plan. You can cross-check with a generic Issue Search in Jira to ensure that any one issue is included in at least one aspect of this configuration. If the issue isn't included here, it will never show anywhere in your Plan.
  • Exclusion rules:  this commonly trips people up. The default "Exclude ... after" setting of 30 days will remove some "Done" issues that people expect to see. I recommend changing it to 365 as soon as a Plan is created. You can always dial it back later. However, this isn't likely to be the cause for why you can't see that one Feature.
  • Exclusion rules:  Also review any excluded Types, Statuses and Releases. If any of these are set, it will impact what issues show in your plan. For example if "Excluded issue types" happened to be set to "Feature" then you won't see ANY Features in your Plan.
  • Removed Issues:  See if any missing issues are listed here. If so, check the box and click the "Re-include" button to remove them from this list and show them again in your Plan.
  • If none of the above helped, then your view configuration is the likely culprit. Ensure your "Hierarchy" setting include Feature. Check your Filters to see what else might be excluded. For example, if you're filtering on something which doesn't apply to that Feature, then it won't show.

I think that's a pretty exhaustive list. If not, the community will correct me! Hopefully that helps you get your Plan to show what you need.

P.S. I noticed that your post was tagged for Jira "Cloud", but you write that you're using Jira Data Center. It would help others find and respond to your posts if you tagged them with "data-center" instead of "Cloud". People who know DC best might not see your cloud-tagged posts.
