I've seen some questions answered here, and in some cases can offer some additional information that I feel would help. When I hit the "reply" button I get taken to the "new question" page. Why does that happen?
Thanks for the clarification in the comment that this was from forums. Yes, forums.atlassian.com is deprecated, so the thing to do is re-ask that question in Answers if you're still needing a solution.
As for the awkward redirect, I've opened a bug report for us to track this:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/ANSWERS-215
Hi Jason - I'm not quite following. Do you mean you're replying via email? Here on the page itself you should be able to answer the question or add a comment. If there's a bug I'm keen to find out...

I found this page with a question and answer on:
http://forums.atlassian.com/thread.jspa?threadID=40112
(Okay, noticied it is forums, not answers). Each comment there has a "reply" link. I'm logged in there and hit the reply link. That does not let me add a comment to the discussion there, but throws me to the answers site, leaving me in the "ask a question" page:
https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/ask/?messageID=257328874
Maybe the thread is closed, or maybe it has something to do with my account, but "reply" should not mean "ask a question".
