Hi,

I have been trying to use this text formatting to add a hyperlink as a evidence in the Xray Test Execution but its not working at all:

[file:///c:/temp/foo.txt]

[file:///z:/file/on/network/share.txt]

Any suggestion how I may achieve this? The info that Im dealing with are Pharma records so it highly classified and it would be better if we just link the evidences in our internal network folders.

Any help?

Thank you.

Hi @Pablo Aurelio Gómez Dipré , welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Unfortunately, Jira doesn't support linking directly to files, as it isn't secure, and most browsers block such links for safety reasons.

If you reach out to Xray support directly, they might have a solution for this specific need.

As a workaround, you could use a code block (```) to display the file path. This way, the path is easier to copy with a single click and stands out visually. https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/markdown-and-keyboard-shortcuts/

Alternatively, you might explore combining it with Confluence, where there could be a way to add shortcuts to local network paths. However, this approach might be a bit of an overkill for your use case, and after exploring this option it might give the same results.
