A starred issue list defaults from displaying Columns to Filters

I create a new issues list and add some columns. I Save As but when I reopen the Issues List it defaults to display the Filter which isnt turned on and nothing is displayed other than a bunch of annoying ... (ellipsis).

 

I have to click on the Columns link to have it reset to the Column view. Why cant it save my preference to view columns?

 

I tried saving with a different name but no joy, see below for example

Hi Alan,

It sounds like you may be switched to look at system or your default filter settings where these could be getting changed between various searches, Try clicking on the column drop down and make sure you have selected Filter as the view and see if that gets the correct columns to show:
