No rights to grant permission in any project permission scheme

I am facing an issue and this issue comes to my knowledge one day ago. In our organization we have changed the emails of employees with the passage of time.

Issue is that if I try to give any permission of such employees whose emails changed in any project by using "Single User" option in Project Permission scheme then I got this error message i.e.

This combination of permission and people just won't work

• User 'abc@abc.com' does not exist
