During the past 5 years I worked in multiple places to migrate from different ITSM tools to Jira. I noticed that in all implementations specially ITSM and Change management that the requester manager approval is required in most of the requests . As you know, this information is always available in the active directory but unfortunately Jira doesn't have out of box feature or direct way to get the manager from active directory. i think this feature need to be enabled in an easy way specially in Jira ITSM.
