Integrating OnPremise Jira Server with SaaS Gitlab

Hi,

I am looking to integrate my Jira Server (OnPremise) with cloud Gitlab (SaaS).

In the integration section within Gitlab, it asks me the below details about Jira:

  • Jira WebURL
  • Username
  • Password
  • Transition ID(s)

I have question related to transition id here.

In my Jira I have ~50 projects, each project has few issue types, and each issue type has its own workflow, and each workflow will have transition IDs.

So which transition ID or ID(s), do we need to provide in the integration settings?

The IDs need to be the ids of any transition you want Gitlab to use.

Thankyou.

Can it be left blank?

If you don't want Gitlab to update the issue status, yes.
