How to use dependecies (standard jira roadmap) best?

Dear Community,

I am working in a startup and we just started using the jira standard roadmap.

That is why I would like to know how you use the dependecies function in the jira roadmap.

Do you link epcis only with epics or do you link epics also with tasks of other epics etc. ?

I am asking because we want to share the roadmap also with our customers and I am not sure which level of detail is the right one so they can still have a good overview. Dependencies are very important for us because we defined a sprint plan ahead of the kick-off and now it often happens that the customer wants to use features already which are planned for a later point in time (and also depend on other features to be implemented first.)

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,

Viktoria
