How to strip out signature or just images

Does anyone have a way to strip out the images or the full signature and images from emailed tickets? It makes the tickets very cluttered.

Hi Danielle,

For Jira Cloud, unfortunately it is not possible to customise Jira Software or Jira Core emails.
You can customise Jira Service Desk emails though (customer notifications).

Also, I have checked this Suggestion:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-161

and at the moment there are no plans to implement such customisation.

I could find at least one possible workaround - to use this add-on:
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1214045/raley-email-notifications-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

However I haven't tried it myself.

Thank you,
Vasily

Hello Vasily, is there a way in cloud for Service Desk to this? Thanks for the links :)

Danielle,

You will need to access settings of your Service Desk project and go to "Customer notifications".
From there you can click "edit" for any notification type you intend to change.

I double-checked and can see that there is no option to strip out images, however it does provide some sort of customisation. it might be not exactly what you would want, however you can give it a try.

Hope this helps!
Vasily
