How much time does it take you to create/edit issues in Jira Software?

All Jira users spend a big chunk of time in this software. Sometimes it makes us mad, but we need to do it in order to keep track of our work. But how is the time we spend in Jira distributed between different activities?

We at Deviniti have become curious about a couple of things:

  • how much time you spend on creating issues, and why so much,
  • how often you have to edit tickets provided with wrong or incomplete information,
  • and if there are any repetitive tasks that you have to re-create once in a while.

I know this is hard to calculate precisely, but any average estimations or general observations will do. People on various positions are warmly welcome to take part in the discussion, from developers through Scrum Masters to project managers.

Share your insights, so we could learn from each other!
