EPIC Cloning = EPIC Fail

I am trying to understand what the point of 'Cloning' an EPIC if it does not copy all of the attributes (ie Child tasks)

I understand that I can create workflow that will do it, but this should be an out-of-box feature. Without it, cloning an EPIC is really no better than just creating a new EPIC.

Hi @Toby Mitchell welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I understand your frustration, the Clone feature in Jira is very basic. I rarely use it. There's no difference between cloning a base issue type or a parent issue type.

Yeah, why to have an option to include child issues? Seems that jira is not interested to get it working. Most probably they earn on add ons as well.
