Keeping track of internal reimbursement request could be difficult. Nowadays, companies often use multiple softwares to keep track of their data. When you are using more than one software to keep track of your data, it could be time consuming to switch between different softwares.

What if you can just attach an excel sheet onto your Jira page?

For most companies, an employee would put their expenses onto an Excel or Google Sheets document and just send it in. However, with Excel-Like Tables for Jira, you can have Excel-like spreadsheets in Jira issues without Excel.

Using Excel-Like Tables for Jira will allow you to

  • Integrate numbers and formulas

  • Visualize charts, figures and pictures

Example of Excel-Like Tables for Jira

Here is a use case scenario of using Excel-Like Tables for a past event! All you have to do is press one button to create an Excel-like table that is integrated in Jira.

The important things to note

  • Attachments - You can add additional attachments such as photos and attach them onto the Jira ticket

    • You can also create a page on the table and include pictures (In this case it is noted as “Receipts” on the Table)

  • Table - Easy to access with the press of a button and you can edit it in full screen

  • Total Amount - You can link the sum of the total amount with Jira field mapping, from the table to the Total Amount

This is one of many different use cases for using Excel-Like Tables for Jira. The process of creating and setting up an expense report in Jira with Excel-Like Tables is simple. It makes it easier for my manager to view and access information because everything is all on one page.
