In October 2020, Atlassian announced that it had decided to accelerate its journey to cloud by discontinuing Server (on-prem) versions of its products and modifying its pricing policy to make it favour Cloud hosting, and on 2 February 2021 this process began. Atlassian’s portfolio of solutions includes a number of extremely popular tools, such as Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, Confluence, Bitbucket, and more. In the paper 'Sprint Ahead or Exodus?, we are focusing on the discontinuation of the Server version of Jira Software and its implications for users, with a special emphasis on the Portfolio, Product, and Project Management, and Enterprise Agile Planning fields.
