In the company I work for, we want to implement change management and I have questions!

I saw that Change Management processes may be implemented, and we are looking at having maybe three levels of urgency.
I saw there is the ability to have a group of approvers for a change, but in our situation, it would work better if we could have a couple of different groups where any one person in each group may approve a change. Is that possible?
Is it possible to automatically vary the flow depending on the urgency? (I am not sure we want this, but currently that is being argued for)?
Is the flow easy to report on showing the change requests in the system, and the urgency, ...?
Many thanks,

Hi Ian,

Scenario 1:

If you need different workflows in the same project, you need different issue types this would be the cleanest way. You can the build automation that can populate the field used for approval (eg. Approvals) based on incident urgency value.

 Scenario 2:

You can build a hybrid workflow with 3 branches. Each of them will be showen for a specify value of the Urgency.

Eg, If Urgency= High then only transition to Brach C is available.

You can add between Open and In Progress a status: Awaiting Approval that will request approval from a specific Group and also use automation to populate the field base on Urgency selection.

This is what I'm thinking, but perhaps my colleagues have other potential scenarios and can assist you.

Cristian
